We are happy to announce - the first EUROlinkCAT Picnic was successful!
First EUROlinkCAT Picnic for children with Down syndrome and their families took place on 2 September 2017 in Poznań. It was a great three hours of fun filled with music, dancing, homemade cake and theater. We started by greeting guests and dancing shows performed by two dance teams of people with Down syndrome.
Beautiful music, stunning dancing and colorful costumes attracted our attention. Then children, (though not only children), played with animators and mascot Barney. In addition, children could paint with hands, create pasta chromosomes, and change into princesses and knights by painted faces.
Each of the invited guests received small gifts from us – books, flashlights, beach balls and toys. We also drew a participant who won the main prize - the family weekend in Karpacz. At the end of the festival we had the pleasure of watching a theater show titled "What is this" by Thearte Studio BLUM.
We thank all participants for taking part in our EUROlinkCAT Picnic !!!
The picnic was organised by Department of Medical Genetics Poznan University of Medical Sciences in cooperation with "Stowarzyszenie Na Tak" Association and GENESIS Center for Medical Genetics, under the patronage of PUMS Rector.
